Dr. Pepper, #OneOfAKindSeason

Situation

Dr. Pepper wanted to create an interactive and engaging area at their booth during the College Football Playoff National Championship Fan Central event in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Pepper aimed to increase their social media presence and buzz during this 100,000 person event. They wanted the event attendees to be able to take photos and instantly share them on Twitter and Instagram using a unique hashtag.

The Goals
  • To promote the Dr. Pepper brand by using a fun and interactive activity

  • To publicize the event on social media and create engagement

  • To provide attendees with a physical token of their cherished memory

The Method

TagPrints supplied Dr. Pepper with both our Hashtag Printing station and Social Media Photo Booth in order to attract attendees to Dr. Pepper’s area and to create social media conversations about the event to include those who were not in attendance. Guests at the Social Media Photo Booth stood in front of a customized Dr. Pepper backdrop, took a picture, and within seconds shared that photo to Facebook and Twitter, or sent it via SMS and email. The Hashtag Printing Station printed any photos shared on Twitter or Instagram with the hashtag #oneofakindseason and provided a look at the entire event through the attendee’s eyes.

The Results

The Hashtag Printing station and the Social Media Photo Booth gave Dr. Pepper the social media presence they were aiming for during this event. The printing station and the photo booth printed photos and provided guests with a physical, Dr. Pepper branded photo as a cherished memory. In addition, with the combination of both tools, Dr. Pepper was able to win an award for most engaging booth at the Fan Central event.
