Situation
CDW sets the standard when it comes to unforgettable trade show experiences. At VMWorld 2015, CDW wanted to create their own buzz on social media by allowing participants to snap photos, tag those photos with their unique hashtag, and receive a CDW branded photo take away – the quintessential method for instant gratification at events.
The Goals
  • To create a positive buzz around CDW’s booth on Twitter and Instagram
  • To engage guests by continuing the conversation after their first point of contact
  • To attract attendee attention and traffic at VMWorld 2015
The Method
Partnering with StudioNorth, TagPrints provided CDW with our Hashtag Printing station. The Hashtag Printing station allowed the convention attendees to take photos, tag them on Instagram or Twitter with #CDWVMWORLD, and print them in seconds at the CDW booth.
The Results
The Hashtag Printing station engaged attendees and gave them an incentive to share their photos on social media. Through Twitter and Instagram, a continuous and positive conversation was created surrounding CDW, and it involved both those in attendance of VMWorld 2015, as well as audiences who were attending virtually. Over 227,000 consumers were reached through over 980,000 impressions.
